Muscle Building Motivation

Hello September.....there is no better time then now to set some new fitness goals as you settle in to your post summer routine. Here are some facts that might help you get some muscle building motivation:

  1. Increased Metabolism: Muscle tissue requires more energy (calories) to maintain compared to fat tissue. By increasing muscle mass, women can boost their resting metabolic rate, which means they burn more calories even when at rest. This can help with weight management and make it easier to maintain a healthy body composition.

  2. Improved Strength and Functional Fitness: Building muscle enhances overall strength and functional fitness. This can make daily tasks easier, reduce the risk of injury, and improve overall quality of life. Whether it's lifting groceries, carrying children, or participating in sports and recreational activities, greater muscle strength can be a significant advantage.

  3. Enhanced Bone Health: Resistance training, which is often used to build muscle, places stress on bones. This stress stimulates bone re-modeling and can increase bone density. This is particularly important for women, as they are more prone to osteoporosis.

  4. Better Body Composition: Muscle mass can help improve body composition by reducing body fat percentage. Increased muscle mass not only burns more calories but also gives the body a more toned and shapely appearance. This can lead to greater confidence and improved self-esteem.

  5. Hormonal Balance: Strength training can positively impact hormonal balance in women. It can help regulate hormones like insulin and estrogen, which can be important for overall health, particularly for women with PMS, peri menopause, menopausal symptoms or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
